Beer review: Tricky Tripel

During our weekly grocery shopping I noticed a new beer at our locally store. The name Tricky Tripel caught my eye. The funny name was enough reason for me to buy the beer, and try it out.

Background

Before drinking the beer, I did some research online. This beer is made by the brewery: Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women). This brewery is founded in 2013 in the city of Amsterdam. The brewery is founded by three sisters. It seems that the Tricky Triple was one of the first beers they made.

Tricky Tripel

Back to the beer Tricky Tripel. When you smell or taste the beer you will notice that the girls did some experimenting with the ingredients. But that doesn’t seem to be a bad thing, I really like the taste. I’m pretty sure that I would buy this beer again. Tricky Tripel isn’t your ordinary tripel and that makes it fun. I do have a small but end this blog, the tripel feels very light for an 7.8% beer. This make it easy to drink too much without noticing it.

Try it out

Do you want to try out this beer? According to their site most selling points are located in Amsterdam. We found the Tricky Tripel in Albert Heijn Vleuten. The full list of selling points can be found here. After you tried the beer, let me know what you think in the comments.
